Impressive/Unimpressive: Infineon, Busch Rights the Ship

June 23, 2008

Impressive:

Kyle Busch: Let's see, he decided to stay in California and he won another race this year. That makes the score card folks Busch 5 Dale Earnhardt Jr.1. Busch wanted to win at a road course on the Cup circuit and Sunday he did it in impressive fashion.

Marcos Ambrose: Ambrose had a good run all day, an idiot plus transmission troubles took him out. It was his first cup race, and as always he has a smile even when the day went bad. Put him in better equipment and he will win races. I like the kid's attitude and soon I think everyone will to.

David Gilliland: Great run Sunday, its tough especially with hand me down Roush Fenway parts, but a good run goes a long way to build confidence. Gilliland could be a great driver he just get an offer from a good team and go from there. Second place finish, a career best.

Tony Stewart: Stewart cannot catch a break the only reason he is in the impressive column is because he has not lost his marbles and blown up on TV like Tony of old. He is running top five each and every week. We all can feel sorry for the rest of the field when he does get everything right and starts his summer winning streak.

With Stewart you can make a list of near misses things like:

* Leading at Daytona on the last lap and not winning.
* Leading with three laps ago at Bristol, crashed out.
* Running top five at Darlington and on lap 1 taken out.
* Leading with three laps to go at Lowe's, blows tire.
* And then there was Infineon, running second and crashed out once again.

Unimpressive:

Elliott Sadler: I am really not sure what his problem is, first Tony Stewart and now Marcos Ambrose. Thanks for ruining his day; it was just a small feat that a first time starter in sub par equipment runs well. He has really shown that he doesn't have much talent anymore. Perhaps a nice stint in the Trucks or Nationwide Series could possibly straighten him back out.

Kevin Harvick: How dumb is he, I would almost put him up there with Elliott Sadler. He has shown that he might be a better owner than driver. I think he and his wife need to hire a driver and just sit on the box. It would be safer for everyone else on the track and maybe even in the stands.

Brian Pattie (crew chief Juan Pablo Montoya): One race wonder, speaking on Marcos Ambrose... Hmmm what is your driver? One win in the Cup Series and he has an attitude of a champion. How many people has JPM taking out being stupid? NASA does not have enough computers to calculate that number. He might want to watch his mouth the next time he speaks. Say something like that about Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart and you will be building a new car because that one will be in the fence.
