Many people who make
last minute decisions to attend a NASCAR event take their chance on one of the ticket brokers you can find selling seats on
the internet. Although there are many reputable companies out there, caution is the watch word. There are several
scammers out there willing to take your hard earned money. If you choose this route make sure you look for certain things
in a ticket seller. How long have they been in business? Do they offer online and phone support? Do they have a
physical address? Are they a member of the Better Business Bureau? I checked prices on one of the reputable outlets this
morning. They had tickets all over the speedway that ranged in pricing from just over a hundred thirty to near eight
hundred dollars. The better seats will cost more. They also offer FedEx Priority for fourteen bucks. It's conceivable
you could get tickets for the Saturday race if you placed your order by Thursday.
A few years back I bought
tickets from an individual selling them on eBay. Several years ago I bought a pair of seats in the Yarborough Terrace
from a guy in Michigan
for forty dollars over face price. I got lucky. Ticket prices on eBay earlier this morning ranged from under three
hundred to well over a thousand.
If you are like me and
need to squeeze the dollar for every spending value in it, the best bet may be to submit a bid to the speedway for season
tickets. The highest priced ticket package this way is $ 414. That gets you seats at both Nextel Cup and Busch (or
whatever it will be in ‘08) races, March and August. You must get your bids in by the end of October. The
speedway is very specific about the format of your bid. If you are interested, check out the website for Bristol Motor
Speedway.
A nice option with a nice price
tag to go with it is the package tour. There are several operators out there who offer a full VIP package of services
which include tickets, transportation, lodging, and in some cases pit and garage passes. Plan on spending better than
a thousand for one of these deals.
