Sprague on Martinsville Truck Pole

Jack Sprague was the only driver to crack the 95 mph mark (95.675 mph) on his way to winning the pole for the Kroger 200 at the Martinsville Speedway. Sprague will have the Toyota of Mike Skinner on his outside with Ted Musgrave directly behind him rolling off third. Rounding out the forth and fifth positions will be the rookies Marcos Ambrose and Erik Darnell. SCR

Kurt Busch won his sixth pole of the 2006 season Friday afternoon for Sunday’s Subway 500 at the Martinsville Speedway. Busch turned a speed of 97.568 mph to edge out Chase driver Jeff Gordon (97.377 mph). Starting third is rookie Denny Hamlin followed by Ryan Newman and Tony Stewart.

 

Kasey Kahne was the lowest qualifying Chase Driver; he will roll off Sunday from the 32nd position. Points leader Jeff Burton qualified 28th. SCR
